Rose has been a Senior Contract Administrator/Senior Buyer with Suncor Energy since 2008. Prior to this, Rose was Purchasing Coordinator with Northwest Community College based in Kitimat and Terrace B.C. During her time in Kitimat Rose and her husband launched a business providing executive-style accommodation for international business clients between 2003 and 2011.
Rose moved to her current position as Senior Advisor in Stakeholder and Aboriginal Relations, after five years in Supply Chain in Major Projects and Operations, but her role and focus continue to be establishing relationships and building trust. Her work with the Aboriginal Employee Network is a natural fit for Rose as she helps build a community of support for Aboriginal employees at Suncor. “Commitments matter and this is why it is so important to strive for relationships that are based on transparency, mutual trust and respect”.
Rose’s professional background includes a Project Management Certificate from the University of Calgary, an SCMP Designation from the Supply Chain Management Association of Canada, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Administration from Athabasca University. She is also a member of the Professional Aboriginal Women in Industry (Calgary) which is a group of professional Aboriginal women in industry who support the work of Aboriginal relations, and volunteered on the Metis Women’s Council on Economic Security.
