"As an international leader in public participation, IAP2 has developed the "IAP2 Core Values for Public Participation" for use in the development and implementation of public participation processes. These core values were developed over a two year period with broad international input to identify those aspects of public participation which cross national, cultural, and religious boundaries. The purpose of these core values is to help make better decisions which reflect the interests and concerns of potentially affected people and entities." Read more on IAP2's Core Values on www.iap2.org.

Each year IAP2 recognizes projects and organizations for outstanding work that demonstrates excellence and innovation in the field of public participation.  Winning projects demonstrate the use of innovative techniques, provide solutions to problems that face the field of P2, involve the public in new areas and show how P2 has affected decisions.  Join us for this webinar on March 12 at 2:00pm EST to hear from the 2012 Project and Organization of the year Award winners, where they’ll share with us what it was about their projects that earned them this recognition.  Find out what core values look like in real life, some creative ways to engage the public and have a chance to ask them some of your questions to help you achieve excellence as well.
