The City of Kelowna Community Communications team is looking to fill a permanent position for a public engagement professional to join a growing and creative Communications Department. In this role you will help lead the conversation around growth and the future of one of the fastest growing cities in Canada. The successful candidate will have a university degree in Communications or Public Relations and will have at least four years of related employment experience that includes public engagement, strategic communications, media relations, issues management and social media. Experience in web content management, design software and digital engagement tools will also be preferred.
We are also hiring for a 12+ month term Advisor to lead community communications work for our Active Living and Culture Division, as well as strategic projects which animate our public spaces and fulfill the goals of our Cultural Plan. Applicants will be considered for both opportunities unless they specify otherwise.
