    We are looking for a Public Engagement Advisor to join our dynamic Corporate Communications team. The Public Engagement Advisor will lead, plan, and coordinate the development and implementation of Sturgeon County’s public engagement framework and overall strategy. This position is also responsible for the planning and implementation of program specific public engagement efforts. The ideal candidate is positive, hard-working, kind, innovative and must thrive working as part of a team. Most of the work can be completed remotely but the successful candidate must be able to work from a Sturgeon County facility when needed.

    The Public Affairs Division of the Public, Legal and Corporate Affairs Branch is looking for a Public and Community Relations Officer for a temporary position until March 31, 2022 with possibility of extension and/or permanency.

    The Public and Community Relations Officer will facilitate connecting the public with our project teams. Reporting to the Manager, Public Consultations, the Public and Community Relations Officer coordinates diverse public relations related activities, including community relations and certain activities related to public consultations, as well as ensuring that client service principles are integrated throughout the National Capital Commission.

    Our External Relations Department is seeking an External Outreach Coordinator who can effectively engage members of the public and key stakeholders in providing feedback and input into regional plans and policies that contribute to the livability, sustainability and prosperity of the Metro Vancouver region.     LURA Consulting is hiring a Community Engagement Specialist to work virtually as part of our Ontario-based consulting team. We are looking for someone truly passionate about community engagement – an engagement professional who understands the need for meaningful community conversation as a key input to better decision-making. We are seeking a creative thinker with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills and a keen interest in good engagement to address complex issues in our local communities.

    The position will allow you to advance and refine your community outreach expertise, facilitation and engagement, and work with leading community engagement specialists. You will work on a wide range of projects in diverse areas of planning, transportation, parks, housing, environment and climate (among others) and support our team’s business development efforts. Minimum of 3-4 years demonstrablejob-related experience in the field of community/stakeholder engagement and outreach (experience in consulting considered an asset), including strong familiarity with the processes and techniques of community engagement, acquired through 3-4 years of hands-on experience in community engagement.

    This position is responsible for facilitating the implementation of the City of Vaughan’s community engagement framework. Ensures the implementation of a more coherent, collaborative and comprehensive approach to community engagement to support the City’s strategic priorities, while meeting the statutory requirements of the Municipal Planning Act, Environmental Assessment EA processes and other relevant government legislation. Supports staff as required to manage community engagement activities by providing expertise and guidance to Members of Council, Senior Management Team (SMT), and project leads. Participates on cross-departmental projects teams (e.g. strategic planning and corporate initiatives) where citizen engagement support and direction is required and may attend community engagement events (e.g. public hearings/meetings). Lastly, this position prepares Council, Committee and other reports and presentations; attends Council, Committee and community meetings, including meetings outside regular business hours as required.
