    As a Community Engagement Advisor with Vancouver Coastal Health you will:

    • Assist and support in the development and implementation of community engagement strategies and plans that ensure the patient/client is at the centre of health care delivery.
    • Work alongside the Leader of Community Engagement on integrating community engagement practices throughout Vancouver Coastal Health as well as support the development of new on-line engagement opportunities.
    • Support the Community Engagement Leader in ensuring patients/clients are involved in decisions that affect their health and advance their health care needs by working with Vancouver Coastal Health’s (VCH) diverse patient groups, families, communities, stakeholders and partners.
    • Assist in developing, implementing and evaluating broad engagement strategies across the organization and integrate patient, client, family, and stakeholder needs into the planning and decision-making process.
    • Lead two important areas which are patient/client engagement and our Community Engagement Advisory Committee (CEAN). Supporting VCH’s broad and diverse communities of care, you will ensure that patient/client engagement is at the centre of our work so that patient/stakeholder input improves the decisions we make, the quality of care patients/clients receive and, ultimately, health outcomes.
    • Be responsible for working closely with VCH’s CEAN group who are a network of individuals who volunteer their time, knowledge and experience to add the patient and family voice to planning and decision making at Vancouver Coastal Health.
    • Keep current with trends and best practices in community engagement and communications, particularly within a complex organizational context, you are prepared to advise on a wide range of tools and tactics to extend people-centred care beyond the individual client and family and into the community at large.

    As part the Communications and Public Affairs team at Vancouver Coastal Health, you'll develop and lead community engagement strategies that ensure the patient’s voice is at the centre of our delivery of care and community members – including diverse patient and client groups, families, public stakeholders and partners – are consulted in planning as part of Vancouver Coastal Health’s (VCH) priorities, strategic initiatives and projects.

    Keeping current with trends and best practices in community engagement, particularly within a complex organizational environment, you’re well prepared to lead region-wide projects that require community participation and ensure we are implementing a wide range of tools and techniques to reach patients, clients, residents, families, hard-to-reach public stakeholders and the community at large.

    You’ll work with leaders across VCH to integrate community engagement practices and collaborate with Public Affairs, Corporate Communications, Digital Content and Patient Experience to be responsive to community needs, support continuous community dialogue and ensure stakeholders are informed and empowered to provide meaningful input as partners in care. You’ll assess the organization’s community engagement requirements and develop, implement and evaluate broad strategies.     The patient engagement consultant will:

    • Implement and maintain a network of volunteer patient/public and family partners and work with service delivery organizations (SDOs) to match individuals with initiatives and engagement opportunities within their service delivery area.
    • Establish network policies and practices that are sensitive and appropriate for racially, ethnically and socio-economically diverse individuals.
    • Work collaboratively with health regions across Manitoba and provincial health organizations to actively promote engagement opportunities and recruit patient/public partners to become members of the network.
    • Implement the standardization of patient, family and public engagement practices including recruitment, onboarding recognition and retention for patient/ public advisors and coordinates engagement strategies and activities using in person and virtual platforms.
    • Implement and assist with the development of training and educational tools and resources to support engagement efforts in all health service delivery organizations.

    Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools (GSACRD) intends to engage the services of professional consultants to assist our organization in executing an Engagement and Planning Strategy to establish and action key capital priorities that support a long term sustainable infrastructure plan that provides school choice, optimizes utilization and sustains enrolments in all communities where the Division operates.

    The Division is seeking to engage its community regarding possible strategies relative to capital planning. GSACRD envisions two phases of engagement as follows:

    1. An initial ideation phase in which data is shared with stakeholders and possible paths forward are developed into workable strategies.
    2. A second phase in which possible scenarios or strategies are shared with the community in an effort to obtain feedback to inform the decision-making process of the Board.

    Reporting to the Superintendent, the Manager of Communications, Marketing, & Community Engagement for Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools supports and advises the Board of Trustees and the Superintendent in developing and implementing communications strategies that contribute to the development of a positive internal and external environment for the Division and enhances community confidence, the integrity of the Division, and pride and passion for the Division’s mission and vision.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Develop an annual Communications Plan for recommendation to the Board of Trustees that aligns with the Board’s Strategic and Advocacy Plans, as well as the Division’s Three-Year Education Assurance Plan;
    • Promote effective communications regarding the operations of the Division;
    • Proactively manage issues through strategic internal and external communications planning in a manner that maintains or enhances Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools’ brand and reputation;
    • Promote and respond to media interest and requests of the school Division;
    • Assist the Board of Trustees, the schools, and senior administration in setting and fulfilling their communications objectives;
    • Develop and implement consultation and community engagement initiatives;
    • Advising with the organization and promotion of school-based communication activities;
    • Maintain, enhance, develop, and implement effective community relations;
    • Support the Superintendent in maintaining and enhancing communication needs throughout the Division and into the broader community;

Elle souhaite s’associer à un groupe de partenaires qui assureront la prestation de ces formations. La présente déclaration d’intérêt a pour but de recenser d’éventuels partenaires pour la prestation de formations organisées par l’AIP2 Canada. Le fait de soumettre une réponse ne constitue pas une obligation contractuelle de la part des formateurs ou de l’AIP2 Canada. Des ententes de prestation de services seront signées avec les formateurs des cours sélectionnés, à la suite du processus de déclaration d’intérêts.

    • l’équité, la diversité et l’inclusion;

    • l’engagement à la suite d’un traumatisme;

    • la participation numérique;

    • les événements hybrides;

    • la gestion des conflits;

    • la communication et la P2;

    • l’engagement dans des environnements complexes;

    • autres sujets portant sur la P2

    IAP2 Canada is pleased to provide public and in-house training online (in English and in French) and we are looking for a collaborative group of training delivery partners. This Expression of Interest is intended to identify potential training delivery partners for IAP2 Canada hosted training. Submission of a response does not constitute a contractual obligation on behalf of the trainer(s) with IAP2 Canada. Delivery agreements will be signed with trainers of selected courses, following the EOI process.

    We plan to create an annual roster for both trainers and online courses.  NOTE - this Expression of Interest will be for the period of July 2021 to July, 2022. 

    We are looking for online training courses for public participation practitioners that provide public participation related practical training. Through the 2020 IAP2 Canada Needs Assessment the following courses have been identified as a focus:
    • Diversity, equity and inclusion 

    • Trauma informed engagement

    • Digital engagement

    • How to deliver hybrid P2 events 

    • Communication and P2

    • Conflict negotiations

    • Engagement in Complex Environments

    • Other public participation related training outside of these areas can also be submitted.

Your ability to translate technical information into easy-to-understand content so that stakeholders can provide meaningful feedback will be key, and if you bring previous experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team within a project management framework for infrastructure construction projects you’ll get off to a running start. You are a trusted advisor, a part of the team, and graceful when things change on short notice. Your previous experience working with diverse stakeholders will serve you well as you navigate the complexities of infrastructure projects.

    You are: a communications and engagement professional that thrives on making meaningful connections between the aspirations and concerns of organization’s stakeholders and important decisions. You don’t shy away from difficult conversations and can easily find ways to make them points of connection.
