ABOUT THE ROLE
IAP2 Canada is seeking an experienced, values-aligned Program Development Creator who lives and breathes Indigenous learning, engagement, and program design. This role will lead the development, evolution, and stewardship of Indigenous-focused training, resources, and learning experiences.
Location: Remote, Canada
Role Type: 6-month Contract (possibility for full-time permanent role)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Development & Design
Lead the creation of new Indigenous-focused learning programs.
Update and expand the Indigenous Awareness Learning Program.
Collaborate with Knowledge Keepers and partners.
Translate community knowledge into accessible training content.
Partnership & Community Engagement
Maintain respectful relationships with Indigenous communities.
Support chapters in expanding Indigenous learning access.
Co-design processes that honour Nation-specific protocols.
Program Evaluation & Growth
Implement evaluations and update programs using feedback.
Identify expansion opportunities.
Knowledge Management
Ensure cultural knowledge is respected and protected.
Contribute to organizational knowledge translation.
QUALIFICATIONS
We strongly encourage applications from individuals with lived Indigenous experience, as this knowledge is central to the role.
Deep knowledge of Indigenous cultures, governance, and protocols.
5+ years working with Indigenous communities or organizations.
Experience designing curriculum, training, and or community-based training.
Strong understanding of public participation or engagement.
Commitment to reconciliation, equity, and trauma-informed practice.
Strong communication and writing skills.
Assets:
Experience co-developing content with Elders or Knowledge Keepers.
Bilingual (EN/FR) abilities.
Facilitation and adult learning experience.
Familiarity with IAP2’s Core Values and Spectrum.

Compensation & Benefits
Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, location and qualifications for the role.
2026 range is $30,000 - $35,000 CAD (6-month period)
