Let's Talk About Youth Engagement!

The IAP2 Prairie Chapter recently updated our strategic plan and identified equity, diversity, and inclusion as a priority for the chapter.  We believe that informed and active representation of diverse perspectives, ideas, influences, and experiences are essential to public participation, and help make good decisions great!

This Prairie Chapter priority aligns with IAP2 Canada's strategic focus on embracing equity, diversity, and inclusion principles across IAP2 Canada.

As a part of this strategy, we have identified the need and importance of engaging with youth.

On April 30th, join us to chat about Youth Engagement!

Nicole Matheis from the Communities Building Youth Futures Prince Albert, Sarah Schmid from the Government of Saskatchewan, and Larissa Shasko, PhD Student at the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy will share their experiences conducting youth engagement. You will then have a chance to ask questions, reflect and share your own experiences in breakout groups.

How it works:
  1. Register for our April Chapter Chat - its free, members and non-members from SK, MB and northwest ON welcome.
  2. We will confirm your registration and send you the Zoom link.
  3. Connect, build skills, and share experiences.
  4. We will take some notes and share those notes with resource links to all participants after the session.
So what is the Chapter Chat?
Since March 2020, our priorities and needs as practitioners have changed.
The Prairie Chapter Chat is a place to connect, recharge, become inspired, build your skill set, share your experiences, and learn from other local practitioners with the shared goal of advancing the practice for all.

Join us on Zoom, Friday, April 30 at 11:30am CST.
Registration required.
Let's learn from each other.
