As a Permanent, Full-Time Engagement Specialist, you will take charge of developing and implementing engagement strategies with internal teams, external interest groups, Indigenous partners, and the general public. The successful candidate must have the following qualifications: Post Secondary degree in community planning, political science, public administration, communications, public relations, marketing or a related field. Minimum three years' previous related experience in community engagement and public relations. Proficient in proofreading and grammar, as demonstrated through testing. Valid BC Class 5 driver's licence or equivalent. For new hires, and for those working in designated positions of trust, including those working directly with vulnerable persons, no formal offer of employment will be made until an applicant completes a police information check. A comprehensive benefits package is included with this position. This is a CUPE local 900 position.
